Willetton Tigers New NBL1 Naming Rights Partnership

Willetton Basketball Association are excited to announce Community Bank Canning Vale as the new NBL1 Naming Rights Partner of the Willetton Tigers for the next 3 years, commencing in the 2024 Mitsubishi Motors NBL1 West season.

This partnership with Bendigo Bank’s Community Bank Canning Vale Branch will offer support to our NBL1 programs, allowing them to continue to flourish.

This is a great opportunity for Willetton Basketball to be able to partner with a fellow leader in the community, and together we foresee a huge positive impact not only on our NBL1 programs, but also with our wider Willetton cohort.

WBA CEO Mark Winnett made the following comments regarding the new partnership

“I am very pleased to be able to announce to the wider Willetton community that we have secured a new NBL1 naming rights partner in Community Bank Canning Vale, of which will provide an increased level of support to our NBL1 programs moving forward.

“Community Bank Canning Vale like WBA are a leader within the local community, both organisations share similar values and community ethos and as a Community Bank they are committed to returning a significant portion of their profits back into the local community. This is another great example of  Community Bank Canning Vale supporting a local not for profit sporting association by supporting our NBL1 programs as our new naming rights partner.”

Community Bank Canning Vale Chair Geoff Wolfenden was equally excited to announce his organisation’s new partnership

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Willetton Basketball Association, a dynamic organisation that shares our commitment to promoting sports excellence and fostering community growth. Willetton Basketball Association’s dedication to sportsmanship and community building resonates with us, and we are excited about the opportunities this collaboration presents to make a lasting contribution to well-being of local residents.”

Community Bank Branch Manager Michelle Lennox and Company Secretary Claire Hurst supported Mr Wolfenden’s enthusiasm about the new partnership.

“Community Bank Canning Vale ethos is to give 80% of our profits back into the local community. We are really excited to partner with the Willetton Basketball Association and their Tigers NBL1 teams as they are an organisation who share similar values to the community.” said Claire Hurst

Michelle Lennox added;

“in joining forces with Willetton Basketball Association, we are not only investing in the future of basketball but also committing to initiatives that address broader community needs. This collaboration symbolises our dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals both on and off the court.”

The Willetton Tigers NBL1 teams will be re-branded as the Community Bank Canning Vale Willetton Tigers for the duration of the partnership agreements.

The first game of the Mitsubishi Motors NBL1 West season is on the 28th of March at Willetton Stadium against local rivals Lakeside Lightning. This will be the unveiling of our new NBL1 branding, and will include some special giveaways from Bendigo Bank’s Community Bank Canning Vale Branch.
