Duty Manager/Customer Service Officer (casual)
At Willetton Basketball Association, we’re more than just a stadium, we’re a thriving community hub where players, families, and fans come together every weekend. We’re currently looking for a reliable and people-focused Duty Manager / Customer Service Officer to join our weekend team and help deliver a seamless experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
About the Role
This is a casual position primarily based across weekends, with the opportunity to pick up additional weekday and evening shifts as they become available. As a Duty Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the stadium while providing a welcoming and professional front-of-house experience.
From opening and closing the venue to assisting customers and supporting competitions, no two shifts are the same. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, community-driven environment, this could be a great fit.
When You’ll Work
This role operates on a rotating casual roster, with a primary focus on:
- Saturdays and Sundays
- Additional weekday and evening shifts available for those seeking more hours
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Open and close the stadium, including security procedures
- Set up and pack down sports equipment across multiple codes
- Provide exceptional customer service, both in person and over the phone
- Use competition and booking systems such as PlayHQ, TeamPay, and Skedda
- Manage front desk transactions and assist with referee payments
- Handle conflict resolution and uphold stadium rules
- Provide first aid when required and complete incident reports
- Assist visitors with information about programs and services
- Maintain a safe environment through hazard identification and risk management
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is reliable, approachable, and thrives in a team environment.
Essential qualities include:
- Physical capability to safely handle sports equipment (training provided)
- A friendly, customer-first attitude
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Basic IT confidence
- A valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- A First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Highly regarded:
- Experience in sports administration, events, or venue operations
- Familiarity with competition management platforms
