Join the Willetton Basketball Association Team!

We are currently looking for a personable, flexible manager to join our competitions team.

The role is permanent part-time with an average of 28-38 hours per week. During the busy periods (prior to the seasons commencing) the role requires full time (38 hour weeks) for three weeks. Attendance at some evening committee and tribunal meetings will be required.

The Role

  • Managing the Competition Advisory Committee (CAC) to continually act and make decisions in the best interest of the Willetton Competitions (act as secretary for CAC meetings).
  • Create and maintain a calendar of events for seasons & communicating this in a timely manner to domestic stakeholders.
  • Fixturing, grading, ladder, database management, daily competition management alongside the Competitions Support Officer (CSO).

Key Responsibilities

  • Competition Administration, Database and Support. This includes some fixturing & regrades (juniors & Seniors) & database management
  • Troubleshooting & maintenance of competition equipment, including scoreboards, tablets etc (Domestic and NBL1)
  • Providing accurate and timely operational reports.
  • Work closely with the Referee Development Officer to ensure the Referee Programs needs are being met and continuing to develop and grow.
  • Rostering of Duty managers during competition time and non competition time (school holidays)
  • Prepare seasonal information to be provided to committees and clubs such as Nominations report for grading, timelines, calendars, competition information etc

About You

Success in this role will mean great interpersonal skills to consistently communicate with everyone involved in managing one of the largest domestic basketball competitions in the state.

You’ll work well under pressure, be detail-oriented with good organizational skills and good problem-solving skills.

You’ll work closely with supervisors, our referees, and game day duty managers, as well as the competitions advisory committee and competitions stakeholders.

You’ll be comfortable learning and working with software and apps.
