Reception/Customer Service Officer

We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic individual to join our team on a part-time basis to assist in the daily management of the stadium’s operations. This a flexible role that only requires daytime hours, consisting of a 5 day fortnight on a job share basis.

To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a customer-facing role, and previous experience in providing administrative support.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Telephone management: fielding calls, assisting with general enquiries, and transferring calls where required.
  • Reception management: managing payment from patrons for casual shooting, directing visitors appropriately, managing sign-ins of contractors
  • Merchandise sales
  • Calendar & court hire management
  • Administrative support: mail, data entry, program set up and reporting.
  • Function room hire enquiries
  • Assist with stocktakes on a monthly and annual basis
  • Set up and take down of sports equipment on occasion (badminton, netball etc)
  • Basic first aid assistance
  • Familiarity with OSH/WHS would be an advantage

Essential skills and qualifications required;

  • Demonstrated minimum of 3 years experience in a customer-facing role
  • High level of customer service and people skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with CRM and POS systems would be an advantage, as with IT troubleshooting skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Merchandise management experience
  • Passion for helping people
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003) – or working towards
  • Current Working With Children Card
  • Experience with Sports database would be advantageous
  • Experience with inventory management and stocktakes would be advantageous.
