Be part of the Willetton Basketball team with this administrator role
We’re looking for a personable, flexible administrator to join our competitions team, managing one of the largest domestic basketball competitions in the state.
The role is Permanent Part Time with an average of 20-28 hours a week. During very busy periods prior to season start, the role may be full time (38-hour weeks) for up to three weeks. Some attendance at evening tribunal & volunteer meetings is required.
- Assist the Competitions Manager with administration, including database and records management
- Tribunal arrangements
- Referee coordination (spreadsheet management)
- Daily competition management alongside the Competitions Manager (CM)
Please note this role is administrative, and experience with basketball is useful but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Competition Administration, Database and Support, including member management
- Work closely with the Competition Manager
- Tribunal coordination and process
- Troubleshooting & maintenance of competition equipment, including scoreboards, tablets etc
- Prepare seasonal information to be provided to committees and clubs such as Nominations report for grading, timelines, calendars, competition information etc
Success in this role will require good communication skills (phone, face-to-face and email). You’ll be comfortable learning and working with software and apps. You’ll be detail-oriented with good administrative skills, problem solving skills and flexibility with task-orientation – one day you could be cross checking Working with Children cards and preparing documents for a meeting with the Junior Competition volunteers, and pulling together a tribunal panel and updating scores the next.
You’ll work closely with the Competitions Manager, and be a part of a passionate and engaged back-office team.
