Ready to take the reigns as the next Head Coach of the Willetton Tigers Women in the NBL1 West?
The Willetton Basketball Association is inviting expressions of interest for the Willetton Tigers NBL1 West Women’s Head Coach for the 2026 season and beyond. With a history dating back to 1973 and a strong junior pathway into NBL1, this is a rare chance to lead a competitive program with a vibrant, supportive community behind it. We’re after a passionate, experienced, visionary coach who can set standards, drive performance, and nurture people—on and off the court.
As Head Coach, you’ll lead the NBL1 Women’s program in line with Willetton’s values and long-term vision. You will be responsible for building an inclusive roster and professional team culture, developing and implementing season plans and game strategies, and recruiting/managing players and staff within budget. The role also involves connecting the senior program with Willetton’s junior and WABL development pathways, representing the club with energy in the community and with sponsors, and working closely with senior leadership and the High-Performance Advisory Committee.
What we’re looking for:

Proven coaching experience at NBL1 level or higher (NBL, WNBL, College, etc.)

Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills

A growth mindset and strong knowledge of modern basketball systems/player development

Ability to build a competitive, balanced roster that includes local talent

A positive role model who leads by example
Essential requirements:

Level 2 (Association) Coaching Accreditation or higher

Working with Children / Vulnerable People Check

National Police / Criminal History Check

Demonstrated high-performance coaching experience

Valid driver’s licence
(Level 3 Accreditation and relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable.)
